Information stored on your device
Five Boards stores game saves, progress, records, settings, local player names, and a cached remove-ads entitlement on your device. Saved matches, local player names, board positions, and move history stay on the device. If you enable optional game services, achievements and leaderboard scores derived from your progress are sent to Apple or Google as described below.
Accounts and core play
The app does not require or provide an account. All five games, computer opponents, lessons, and same-device pass-and-play work offline.
Optional achievements and leaderboards
When available, you can enable Apple Game Center or Google Play Games in Privacy. This is off by default and is not required to play. If enabled, the platform uses your game-services account identifier and public nickname to associate earned achievements, wins per board, and collection mastery scores with your account. Your nickname and scores may be visible to other players according to your platform profile settings. Five Boards does not receive your account email address or password, and does not send local player names, saved matches, board positions, or move history to game services. Switching this setting off stops future achievement and score reporting; achievements and scores already recorded remain with Apple or Google and are managed through your platform account.
Diagnostics
Crash reporting is off by default and can be controlled from the Privacy & analytics screen. If you enable it, technical crash information may be sent to Firebase Crashlytics to diagnose stability problems. Reports are configured not to include local player names, board positions, or move history.
Analytics
Anonymous analytics is on by default and you can switch it off at any time in Privacy. In regions where consent is required, it runs only after you have made your choice in the consent form and that choice allows it. When it is on, the app sends coarse usage events to Google Firebase Analytics: which board was opened, whether a match or lesson course was started, finished or abandoned, the mode (solo or two-player) and a rough length band, whether advertising or the remove-ads purchase was shown, completed or failed, and the app version and platform. It never includes local player names, board positions, moves, precise location or contact details. Switching it off stops collection immediately.
Age
Five Boards is intended for people aged 13 and over and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has used the app, email the address at the end of this page and we will delete it.
Advertising
Five Boards includes advertising. Ad requests are permitted only when the release configuration, remote safety switch, regional treatment, and applicable consent requirements allow them. Ads may be personalized where your consent choice and device settings allow it, and are otherwise limited to non-personalized or contextual ads. On iOS, personalization that uses the device advertising identifier requires your permission through the system tracking prompt, and you can decline. On Android you can reset or opt out of ad personalization in your device's Google settings. The integrated advertising SDK may process identifiers and other data described in the store privacy label for advertising, measurement, diagnostics, and fraud prevention.
Purchases
Apple or Google processes store purchases and restoration using your store account. Five Boards does not receive or store your payment-card details. Five Boards uses RevenueCat to check store purchases. When the app starts with a network connection, the RevenueCat SDK receives a random anonymous app user identifier that it creates on the device, your purchase history for Five Boards (the products bought, transaction identifiers, dates and the store receipt), and basic device and app information such as platform, app version, language and IP address. RevenueCat uses this to verify and restore the ad-removal purchase and to report refunds. It does not receive your name, email address, local player names, board positions or payment-card details, and the identifier is not linked to advertising. A local entitlement may be stored so an already verified ad-removal purchase continues to work offline.
Permissions and sensitive information
Five Boards does not request precise location, contacts, photos, camera, microphone recording, health information, or unrestricted device storage. It does not include chat, public profiles, or user-generated content.
Retention and deletion
Local gameplay information remains until you reset records, clear the app's data, or uninstall the app. Turning off crash reporting stops future collection and deletes unsent crash reports where supported. Store purchase records are managed under Apple or Google policies. RevenueCat keeps the purchase records for the anonymous app user identifier while they are needed to verify and restore purchases; to ask for them to be deleted, email the address at the end of this page. Deleting them means a purchase must be restored again from your store account.
Children
The app does not ask for a birth date or knowingly create child profiles. Advertising remains off when required consent, audience, or regional treatment is unresolved.
Changes
Material changes to data collection will be reflected here and in the app and store disclosures before the changed practice is enabled.
